GETTING READY FOR OUR NEXT ADVENTURE.

Today will be our last day here at Coarsegold, Ca. Tomorrow we will leave in the direction of the Grand Canyon. We will make our first stop around Mojavo Ca. and from there go to Lake Havasu City, Az. and spend two days there to see the sites and then arrive at the Grand Canyon May15.We are skipping Vegas as we are not much into gambling and try to avoid big cities after L.A.
Right now things are very quiet. Yesterday we had our first day of rain since at least a month and it turned very cold right after (44 degrees at 3 in the afternoon) but this morning the sun is out and it supposed to warm up to a high of 70. Other than getting a few groceries and preparing for take off tomorrow we have no other plans.
I am posting a few picks from a visit we did about 10 days ago to the Mariposa California Museum of Mining and Minerals. This was a very interesting place and at the time the little town of Mariposa also had a Butterfly festival and it turned out to be a very interesting day.
Just as a little story "don't ever totally trust your GPS" we put in the coordinates to the museum from there website in our GPS and followed the road accordingly and the road got smaller and smaller and ended up as just a dirt road when we realised something was wrong. After asking a local Mail lady we found we where 10 miles in the boondocks and had to turn around and followed the map this time. So much for coordinates!!

201.40 Troy ounces of PURE GOLD
That's about 13 pounds and worth conservatively over a million dollars.
Tracy, Don't you wish you owned this?

My folks loved Lake Havasu, I've never seen it - but will with you guys :-) Be safe. I learned the hard way not to trust my GPS all the time too - guess good old maps can't be beat! Be safe, have more fun. Hugs & love, Betty
