YOSEMITE DAY 2

Day 2 was just as incredible as the first day.We decided to take the trail to Mirror lake that started behind our campsite, we where able to get very close to Mirror lake itself using the road that the free shuttle route takes as this is also available for handicapped users. There I left Jeri at this most beautiful spot and I continued on the trail.  The first 4 picks where all taken at Mirror Lakes .The last of those picks shows a rock slide that occurred there in 2009 and completely shut the trail for a long time They said when it happened it registered as an 2.5 earthquake on the Righter scale.
That afternoon after we had some lunch we drove the car to what is called the tunnel view. This is the most gorgeous drop dead view you can ever imagine and the picture will only give you an idea of the actual beauty.  Also on that trip we admired El Capetian and bridal Vail another beautiful waterfall.
That evening after going for a walk into the woods behind our campground on my way back I heard a dog barking wildly and several campers where running to the side where the woods start and sure enough when I got over there I spotted this BIG brown black bear digging into a tree stump looking for food I think I was within 30 ft and the lady ranger who came over and told us to back up some and make a lot of noise in case the bear would come our way. After a few minutes he disappeared and I was happy to be there at the right time to see him.
I will attempt to post a short clip of him.

Mirror lake is breathtaking! OH how I fortunate you two are for getting to experience all of this. I am thrilled you are on this wonderful trip! (but wish I was with you LOL). Bear is alittle too close, Ton! Love, Betty
