A quick catch up on where we have been.

July 3-5, 2014

It was difficult to find a place to stay for the July 4^th weekend.  We left the canyon on Thursday morning and headed to Lake Eufaula, Ok.  We were hoping to stay at a Corp of Engineer park again, but with 6 campgrounds by them on this lake, were full, so we checked with the the state park and one local private park.  Everything was FULL. 

We ended up at a little family park on the highway.  The family was plesant and their 12-year-old daughter checked us in.  We booked it until Sunday to get through the weekend.

They had all the utilities a person could ask for, including the fastest internet provided for it's campers that we have ever seen.  

They also had a bunker to provide safety for everyone in case of a Tornado.  

A good thing in this part of Oklahoma.

Ton was informed they had two different lakes a 1/2 down the dead end road where hecould Kayak.  So once again, all was good.

The first day we kayaked up Lake Eufaula all the way to the State Park

The next day he went on Lake Onapa

We were glad we stayed in this little place, because

it was quiet and very relaxing.
