Park COE – Coffeeville, AL
July 9 - 11
This park was a very
pretty park but once again it is not used except for weekends. We were one of 4 campers the first night and
the second there was only one other one.
We thought we could use some quiet time but didn’t expect this. We had No cell, phone or over the air tv. We enjoyed the serenity and the beauty around us, but there was nothing to do. The nearest little town was really little
The excitement of the day was watching the tug boats
pushing large barges down the river.
The host that checked us
in told us if we liked Catfish we should go to Bobby’s Fish Camp. The were raging about it and we love
catfish.
So we decided to give it a try.
Little did we know this was the road
Wow, we traveled down this dirt road to get there.
It was definitely a fish camp
4
other adults came in all dressed up to eat.
They said they come from 30 miles away to eat there because it’s that good.
Notice the 137 pound Alliigator Gar below.
Don't bother to call 911 or anything like that
The signs let you know they can handle it.
It was not a disappointment. The fish reminded me of the catfish places my parents
took us to when I was little. They
would drive to Colfax, Indiana and wait in a super long line to get the catfish
there.
No line here, but still good food.
Took the bike down here to get an internet connections
as we had to check up on our next site.
And to end the evening a large alligator swam by in our back yard view.
On Friday afternoon, the
locals started arriving at the campground with jet skiis, boats and large
groups of friends. Everyone had toys
and the silence was broken.
It reminded me of when
Jeff & Tracy get together with their buddies on the weekend. Fun for them, but too hectic for me. J J lol

I posted yesterday but it didn't stick. This place looks nice but you know I'm right there with you two when it comes to the toys and the noise. God gave us beautiful places to search peace - listen and His voice is all you hear when you are there. Enjoy, be same coming home. Love you too. Love the catfish place....
