Monday we got up early to head for Anaheim. We were warned about the 91 freeway but it was much worse than we expected. Six lanes of traffic bumber to bumper and two express lanes but they didn't allow cash to pay and our transponder wasn't good there, so it took us 2 1/2 hours to drive the 80 miles from here. Thank goodness Ton's a patient driver.
Arriving to the park we parked in a nice parking garage and were picked up by the tram and taken to the park. They have two parks, Magic Kingdom and California Adventure. Both parks together do not have as much as our Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom was a nightmare. Bumper to bumper guests and long long lines. We only went on two things and they were the Indiana Jones Temple of Doom Ride and the train. Then we walked over to California Adventure which was a shorter walk than the tram to the Castle in Florida. The attractions were all about California. We loved Flight over California which is like our Soarin in Epcot but about things in CA. We took a walk around the park and left. We had been there for six hours and were exhausted We've been spoiled with our Disney World at home.
Then for the long drive home but it was a little less busy as we left at 4 in the afternoon.
We're glad we went there and enjoyed the day, but it is a lot of attractions in a very small area, so that makes for big crowds and lines. I'm still impressed that Walt was able to accomplish this in his time in such a big city as Los Angeles.Today and tomorrow we will rest after this disneyland expierience
Here a few pictures.
