We left Humboldt on our way to Sioux Falls, S.D. As much as we love being on the road and exploring new places, I have to admit this was one of those few days when we wish we weren’t on the road. It rained the entire 200 miles, the wind was strong and Iowa had the worse roads we have traveled on in a long time. This winter was pretty hard on them and they had so many bumps and potholes, we were glad when we arrived in Sioux Falls. We are staying in the Fairgrounds that by now are muddy, but the camping host is nice and we have good neighbors. We ended up booking 4 days here, as we can’t get into Custer State Park till the 17th. It was cold when we arrived and I wore my winter coat. We stayed in for the rest of the day, watched tv and took care of business.
Not sure if it's Chip or Dale but this chipmunk was next to us all day.
Canadian Geese everywhere we go
Fighter jets flying above us.
Today, Friday, it warmed up a little. Of course I wore a sweater and sweatshirt
while the locals were in shorts. The
temperature was about 66.
We went to the Laundromat this morning and then back home
for lunch. then went to the Sioux Falls Park.
It was beautiful.
An overall view from the viewing tower
We enjoyed the falls and also the
Collection of Statutes around the park
The kids were the Peoples Choice award
After the falls, we headed
to the grocery and back at home for supper and planning our events for
tomorrow. Never a dull moment and we
love it.

Nice park, I like the chipmunk. The statues remind me of the pewter figurines.
