West Yellowstone, June 18, 2014
UPDATE: NEWS ON GLACIER:    It’s a good thing we left Glacier yesterday morning.  It was on the news here tonight that The Going to the Sun Road is closed more than it was when we were there.  They got 14 inches of new snow yesterday and had to evacuate one campground and relocate the rangers for their safety.  We are so thankful we were in Townsend.

NOW BACK TO YELLOWSTONE
It was less than a two hour drive here this morning which was nice.  We found a nice little campground with full hook-up just 3 miles from the park entrance, so we decided to stay here for two nights.  We are already enjoying having electric, and using the heat pump on their electricity instead of our propane.  We are able to catch up on paperwork, went to the Laundromat & the phones and 4 G internet signals helps a lot too.   In the park would have been no hook-ups again.
We ate lunch and then went to the park.

We drove two short loops today.

Hot Geysers all around
Since we stayed in Yellowstone last year for 5 days, we are only going to visit the Northern area that we haven’t seen yet.  There is still plenty of things to check out up there, so it probably will take all day.
We love this park because it has so many different things to see.  It’s a lot busier than last year though, so we are not going to Old Faithful again with the crowds. We look forward to tomorrow

Glad Ton took the walk. Beautiful pictures and glad he stopped and didn't get snow in his shoes.
