GRAND CANYON NORTH RIM

The North Rim receives less than 15 percent of the total visitor traffic to the Grand Canyon. Therefore the North Rim can be a quieter and more personal experience.
Although the two rims are separated by only 10 miles, the trip by road from rim to rim is over 200 miles.

In the words of our 26th President,
“ Leave it as it is.  You cannot improve on it, and man can only mar it. What you can do is keep it for your children, your children’s children, and for all who come after you as the one great site which every American….should see.”
Theodore Roosevelt, 1903
Several people die yearly due to carelessness and falling off
the canyon wall.  This girl is not where she should be.

Point Imperial is the highest point on the North Rim at 8,803.

This area is called the wedding place.  We renewed our marriage
vows here after 44 years together.
I love this picture.
When we left, they started setting up catering
and equipment for a wedding taking place here
later in the day.
Through the opening in the stone, you
can see the Colorado river

This is so beautiful. You are WAY braver than I - I like to look but not sitting on some of those places you two are sitting! You two lovebirds renew your vows to each other daily - a great example to family and friends. Love you both - Betty

I think that one day I need to drag my family out there to see these natural wonders.. Either that, or just go see them myself. It's an amazing sight.
