A Great Day - Camp Verde, AZ

What a change between yesterday and today.  Yesterday, we stopped at a small campground to just get off the road with nothing to do around it but today puts big smiles on our faces again. 

The drive was beautiful through the mountains of Arizona.  We didn't expect this and we reached heights of 7,900 feet.  It was so relaxing a drive and so much to see.

We arrived in Camp Verde, Arizona very near to the beautiful town of Sedona.  We booked two days, but after seeing what’s nearby and so many things to see, we might just stay through the Holiday weekend.  We will visit the State Park nearby and the National Forest for possible hiking or kayaking in our little car, because they don’t have openings in their campsites available for the weekend, or cell service, wifii, satalite or tv and here we have it all.  This park is small, but the people are friendly, very clean, it’s 55 & over and has all the amenities.  What a Great Find!

Once through town, we drove through the National Forest and saw the beautiful Red Rock area, and went for a short hike.  

It was a wonderful, beautiful day to enjoy Gods Creation.
