Today we visited the
National Wildlife Refuge and tomorrow we head toward Sedona,
AZ.
On the way to the Refuge, we went through the town of San Antonio. Same name -- different place.
We found this cute little church on the side of the road but if
we blinked our eyes, we would have missed the whole town.
When we arrived at the refuge the first thing we saw was
this RV er boon docked for the night.
We stopped at the Welcome Center to get our map
of the 12 mile loop through the refuge.
Of course, Jeri had to check out sitting on the rock in
front of the center.
Map in Hand, we were on our way. We were told it was out of season to see a lot of wildlife, but as usual we were ready for anything.
Are you ready to come along?
Right away, Ton found a little boardwalk.
We then headed along the marsh in the car to check things out.
Good Fisherman -
Notice the Crayfish in his mouth.
Looks like it got stuck in his throat.
The Beautiful Blue Heron
Natural Beauty of the Marsh
All kinds of ducks
Mom, Dad and their little ducklings
Looks like he can fish too
It looks like Turtle time in the Marsh
Another beautiful Ibis
Ton's last picture before we leave
The drive was very scenic and we saw a lot more than we expected. We hope you enjoyed it too.
We are looking forward to
someplace new in
Arizona tomorrow.
