May 10 – Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge

We have been in Beaumont, Texas for two days now and leave in the morning.  Yesterday we saw the flowers and today we decided to visit the National Wildlife Refuge.

We can drive through the park, go on some trails and learn about the natural wildlife in the area in the marsh areas of Texas.

I've never seen this bird before

What big teeth you have!

We startled him,he started swimming our way.

Time to get in the car and move on

The duck is much more calming

This bird had bright eyes and strange beak

This looks like Big Daddy and Grumpy too

Mother and Child Birds

Look for the baby bird in the bottom right in

front of the tuft of grass.
